I currently use the Shure SRH440's and i can tell you these are really high quality headphones, you can pick them up on ebay for $80 new. I would gladly pay $200+ for them

I highly recommend the Shure SRH440's, you wont regret it.

Now im not even near of being an audiophile but i like good clear sound so i got a question that i never really thought about until i was messing with the treble settings on my PC....should i even mess with the treble and bass settings or should i leave them at default? thanks :P

You should start i have found some great deals in there, you just have to check the reputation of the seller... If you buy only from high rep seller's you shouldnt worry much, also thats a Shure certified seller so its 100% legit.

Im just saying you're not using the headphones at their full potential with your sources even with an amp....i would upgrade to a soundcard from at least Creative or go with Auzentech before wanting to review headphones....you will hear worlds of difference compared to integrated audio.

Well im not really an expert on headphones but first look at your source which is a integrated Conexant HD and a cell phone?...are you kidding me? no wonder the headphones sound like crap.

Well i use the Sony MDR-DS3000 its actually pretty good, it decodes dolby digital and DTS.

Well after reading and reading about the Audio-Technicas AD-700's Vs the A-700's i decided to go with the AD's and they arrived yesterday and i SHOULD have listened to you, these things leak so much sound i didn't even put them on for more than 15 minutes and i felt so stupid for not listening...

well as i said i went by listening to the current Sony i use at night which i can use at acceptable volumes and they dont bother anyone, they open too.

I bought these headphones mainly for late-night gaming and movies and im sooo dissapointed that i can hear every single thing and everyone can hear what im listening to, i have another set of sony open air headphones and they're nowhere near as bad.....there goes $90 to nothing

To watch blu-ray movies at night on my tv i use the Sony MDR-IF3000, i dont know if anyone here has used them but how would these compare to what everybody has mentioned here?

Do you think they will sound good with games and movies? I think that's a little overkill no?

Any more opinions?

I did a lot of research(slept at 4am) and ive decided to go with the Audio-Technica A-700's not the AD's, the main reason was that they are closed and me being nowhere near to being an audiophile i think these will be a huge upgrade over my current Shure e2c's...did i make the right choice?
