Oh, no? I wasn't aware that I had to do that. The piece of paper that gives info about hearing volumes and fitting the headphone said nothing of a white tape. Just peel it off?  

I just received my Alpha Pad Dogs and while they sound amazing, but umm for some reason I cannot hear ANY bass in any songs, obviously it's there but there's no impact, I feel none of it at all. It's also paired with the Schiit stack?

Kamakahah, which port. amp did you purchase? I just bought my pair of mad dogs and am too looking to buy a good portable amp. While I do like the Schiit stack I need something portable that will power them just as well for under the 200$ price range.  

Would the E7 be a good DAC to use and then buying a Schiit Magni amp? I plan on using the E7 as main DAC but portable amp with Magni as main AMP. Thanks!

Ohh! I see, that makes a lot of sense. I am not using it for a laptop, but for a desktop and an iPod. My motherboard does indeed have an optical output so I will use optical as source and USB/AC Adapter @ 5.2V and 2.1A to power it! It probably wouldn't be best to use with an iPod though?  ...

You made a good point. I also was not very sure if that amp would be able to power the greater 250 or 600 ohm. It seemed like such a higher resistance. I would once in a while use it with an iPod or smartphone. Would the HE-300 also be a good candidate?
