+1 here for another satisfied V3 buyer. Alex put it on my D2000's and they sound amazing! Get this cable if you have the money for the upgrade! When I find some extra time I will post some pictures of the post-op on my cans.

Yeah it may take a little longer then... bummer. But believe me, it is definitely worth the wait!

Heard Denon AH-D2000's are being found on Amazon as low as $200 right now... I have a pair and use them without an amp, could not be more satisfied to say the least.

Necrolic, I shipped them via UPS to Alex on a Tuesday and he received them three days later (Friday). He had them completed and on my doorstep 18 days later (Tuesday). I was very impressed with the turn around time to say the least. Alex, Enjoying is an understatement, thanks again!

I am sure there are a few Minnesota users on here, so I am asking if anyone knows of any shops or stores in state that carry high end headphones like Grado, Denon, Sennheiser, etc...? Please let me know what the stores are called and where they are located, thanks a lot!

From what I hear he's the best of the best. (and so is his cable). I will definitely know what I think of it when it comes, and will also let you know how it sounds after a couple hundred hours of burn in. Mine will arrive here on Tuesday of next week.

Just received the email from Alex at APureSound today saying my V3 re-cable is complete. I should have the cans back by early next week I will let you know how they sound (I have heard great things).

You can expect amazing things from a couple hundred hours of playback. I too didn't know what to expect, but wow... they sound better every single day that goes by. I am in love with my D2000's, and cannot wait to hear them after my APS V3 re-cable.

I think all methods of burn in will eventually come to the same result... better sound. I am with some others on here, plug in your cans, turn on some music, adjust the volume, and let them play on repeat for a week or two (I usually give them a few rest periods during that time period).

Yeah I was just looking for something a bit thicker because I have a short head, so even on the smallest headphone setting the cups go a little lower than I'd like. It really isn't that big of a deal though, just curious...

Haha thanks for all the replies! And I know I have started plenty of threads recently on the D2000 and upgrade/accessory options, but the only one I have done is the V3 re-cable (as I hear it makes a "night and day" difference in SQ)... I am just asking around on here to see what my options...

Are there any alternative headbands for the D2000 for sale out there? I would love to have a thicker, heavier padded one than the one that comes stock... Thanks for any help you can provide me!

I too picked up a pair about a month back, absolutely LOVE them. Just sent them to Alex at APureSound so he can do the V3 re-cable, I literally am going nuts without them and it's been two days...

Okay, thank you. I maybe should have reworded my post though. Will it sound better than unamped with the Cowon S9 player? I have heard that since the Cowon uses headphone-out, when an amp is used it uses the amp built into the player as well and can actually make the sound much worse... what do...

I usually recommend the Denon AH-D2000, but with classical type music I am unsure as I do not listen to it. Read up on the D2000 (I love mine...) and ask around on the forums as to whether or not they would be ideal to your listening preferences.

Pick up a pair of Denon AH-D2000 headphones. They sell straight from Denon for like $370, but many people on here have found them new for as low as $215 from Amazon and a few other sources. I bought a pair of these about a month ago and cannot describe my satisfaction level. Here is how I feel...

Got a new pair of D2000's about a month ago. Haven't listened to them compared to an out-of-the-box pair, but I know for a fact that they sound night and day better now than they did at first (have about 200 hours of burn-in on them).

How much better would the D2000's sound though the FiiO E7 compared to the sound with no amp (through Cowon S9)?
