I'd go with the ES7s for sure. But maybe you can try the blue tack mod as there are claims of having increased clarity which is something I think these portable cans lack. And the headband mod is a must if you don't want that awful clamping pressure, or look like a normal human being lol.

I'm gonna have to recommend the audio-technicas ES7 for portable use. The glossy black on those things exude sex wherever you go. Sonically, I'd go with the MS-1s. ES7s always sound a little muffled to me, but I have yet to try the blue tack mod.

There's a reason why we've all gathered here on Head-Fi right? While some of us are trying to justify $200 cans, there are those with $2000 ones. Imagine the latter group's struggle!
