I just purchased a Rega RP6 with a factory aligned Exact 2 cartridge ($600 cart, 2000 for the set). Does this look aligned to you? It sure doesn't to me. But maybe they are wiser than us and know the best alignment for this cart? Or maybe the included protractor is off? It just seems strange as...

Hmm...the HE-6 is 50 ohms, about 50% more...would that work?   Pretty tempting heh.

I would be willing to spend up to the price of an HE-500. And is that upgrade worth it?

If you have access to a TON of egg cartons, use those. That's what my music teacher covered her music room in years ago, worked pretty good and pretty cheap.

I currently have Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro's and love their sound signiature. I am considering upgrading to DT990 2005's, Grado SR225i's, or Sennheiser HD 650's. Recommendations among the three and could anyone compare the three companies'/headphones' sound signatures? Much thanks.
