I have an Envy 14 and the speakers are very quiet. The headphone out is awful...very poorly shielded, I can hear all sorts of buzzing and whatnot from the computer.    Is a good laptop for the price I paid for it.

You have everything you need! FL Studio is a great program and the next version will have a live feature much like Ableton's for playing your tracks out.   I wouldn't advize looking into another DAW until you really have FL down. I spent so much time and money trying different DAW's, From...

Yeah, I switched to a mac sort of recently and had a lot of trouble with media players...(If only Itunes could @#$@ing play flac) and this is in my opinion the best one. It syncs great with my rockbox'd Ipod. Yea mine has crashed when doing stuff with a ton of data but so has Itunes haha...

As has been mentioned above, you could do something with rockbox. Maybe the community there would like to invest in the technology to produce is as the "Rockbox Player"     Keep making good stuff.

Isn't the headphone out on max the same as the line out on the fuze?   maybe this is useful for people with broken jacks?

I just found out the cowon x7 existed after getting my s:flo 2 shipped out from mp4nation. The similar sound quality, 10x battery life and huge capacity is really making me regret ordering this :\
