IIRC: Better noise rejection, lower inherent noise, lower impedance, subjectively people report better sound quality. I don't trust random chinese LDO/transistor circuit design either. At least two I have read reports of incorrect design. Lots of them don't even follow datasheet.

Nfb 7.77. It's a dual 9038 DAC. Much better macrodynamics, blacker background, better imaging etc. But still "sabre sound" so not "pure treble" like on some r2r (imo probably a function of the filter). A good upgrade in any case. I'll aim to install some better clocks and USB input eventually.
