well it's a bit more gentle now... i'm not using the bass boost on fiio E10, just in foobar. have you tried the X1 with the Fiio E10?

i don't have any distortion because i lowered my overall output by 12db as you can see in the image.

has any of you heard an AD700 without a bass boost?

well i have my AD700 + fiio e10 with a bass boosted eq in foobar, they sound amazing to me but i've never heard anything "higher-end" than these so my question is, in terms of pure sound quality would a X1 match an AD700 with a very nice boosted bass. Here is the EQ i use:

i'm thinking in getting one of these fiio E7 to use with AD700 headphones. currently i'm using my sony ericsson w715 phone to listen to music and creative audigy SE on my pc. what kind of improvement should i be expecting, should i buy it? how does it work. thanks in advance!

by the way, do you think the ad700 will give me a soundstage like 5.1 speakers?kind of a surround effect? i have the x-540 from logitech, and i realy love them, specially the bass. it's not a boomy bass but it has real kick to it.is the bass on the ad700 punchy like that?
