GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge
Just wanted to update this thread. In my case, the issue turned out to be corrupt micro-sd card which was preventing streamer from booting up. I used a new micro SD card preloaded with firmware 1.43 (via Balena etcher) and replaced in the DAC. Streamer works now (and sounds pretty darn good)...- rawhit

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge
I've contacted the seller. Bought a pre-owned unit on usaaudiomart and they had never used the LAN input so could have been defective to begin with.- rawhit

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge
Ethernet lights are not lit on inserting the cable. I tried to follow the steps for installing the firmware 1.43. But usbimager is not able to see the flashdrive on R26. I did shutdown the power button on back and then connected the usbc cable. Suspecting that the streamer section is just not...- rawhit

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge
Should have clarified. I use JPlay Femto on PC and Minim Server on NAS as media servers and Arcam Music Life on iPhone as the controller. Have even tried Bubble UPNP on android. I was expecting the Gustard to show up as a renderer in these apps but it doesn't. Also went to my router to check...- rawhit

GUSTARD DAC-R26 Balanced Decoder R2R+1Bit Dual Native Decoding Music Bridge
Hi All, I just got this DAC and have set it up with my HTPC. I am able to get it working via USB but haven't managed to get the streaming mode working. When I put the DAC in LAN mode, it doesn't show up on my network. I've verified that the ethernet jack/cable I'm connecting it to are good...- rawhit

I am finally considering other Browsers..a.k.a IE really does suck!
Try this and you will hate IE even more On any text editor just type in something and copy it to clipboard using ctrl +c Open this link This doesnt happen in firefox. IE users better be careful before copying your accounts and password information- rawhit

Jahn dude, hope to see ya there. Quote: lan wrote That's great because my HE60/HEV70 rig just died yesterday. And my computer the day before. They were working, I walked away for a little, and were off when I returned. They didn't turn on again. Sorry to hear about your equipment...- rawhit

Electrostatic Charging Experiences
Nomad, have you noticed the effect during the day time also? Its possible that the power supply fluctuations are lesser at late night hours and thus the system starts sounding better. HEV-70 power supply is just an unregulated wall wart and wouldn't handle power fluctuations well...- rawhit

Oris is going away... and what I've learned.
Wodgy, your posts are always very informative and a great read. Chipamps kit does seem to be a nice way to build a good and cost effective power amp for orions. In class D amps ICE power modules, Hypex UCD, LC Audio Zapulse and Tripath chips seem to be the availabe options. ICE modules...- rawhit

Oris is going away... and what I've learned.
Thats really interesting news. Will wait for some more information on these. Only problem with Orions is powering them up. Commerical amps with 8 identical channels are fairly rare or prohibitively expensive. May be a DIY 8 channel class D amp with power modules would be the way to go with...- rawhit

Where can I buy 5 pin STAX male headphone jack?
My KGSS should be here in a day or two and I too am looking to build the HE-60 to Stax adaptor. Have some noob questions as this is the first time I am trying to DIY. 1) The allied electronics part no. is 719-4027 and not 719-4207 as mentioned above? This WPI part can also be bought from Newark...- rawhit
