Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!

Quote:   Maybe you do, but I don't bottom out much when gaming. I prefer mech switches because I know exactly when the key is pressed and released, as opposed to being able to feel the bump in the key but still not press hard enough for it to register like on membrane/scissor switches...

Back to playing DayZ all the time again... 9.5/10, even with the bugs and ****. Game is absolutely amazing.

Playing the new XCom. Having a lot of fun.   Only complaint are the dang mini-cutscenes every time you find an enemy.

**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**

So much want. Next time I get some money I'm gonna have to pick up a pair of these. They sound like exactly what I'm looking for in a headphone.

GW2 (still lets me use my beta key even though the game is released lol). Thought I'd try it out and see if anything's improved... Nuh. 5/10. Time to look for a new go-to game to play until DayZ goes standalone.

    M50s overrated?

Quote: Uh... That's exactly what overrated means.

    M50s overrated?

Quote: Haven't heard either of those headphones. I wouldn't describe the DT770 80ohm as bright, compared to most headphones I've heard (Q701, SRH940/840, M50, any Grado). If anything the treble is a bit rolled off. I'd definitely describe the 250ohm as bright though.

    M50s overrated?

Quote: To my ears, far less harsh and bright. After listening to the M50, my DT770s sounded dark in comparison.

Quote: They're only repetitive if you play them like that. They're called sandbox for a reason, you do whatever if you want.

    M50s overrated?

I personally found the M50s very harsh. People describe the DT770s as bright/borderline sibilant but they sound positively dark compared to the M50s.

Past week or two, nothing but DayZ. Absolutely amazing.

Is the ath m50 considered flat?

I'd say it's not very flat at all. Sounds very V shaped, with recessed mids, and in-your-face bass and highs.

headphone for games and music on pc

Quote: Not really, at least not the DT770.   @OP, I'd go for some Creative Aurvana Live! headphones.

    M50s overrated?

I find the M50s are greatly overrated. I didn't like them much at all, especially not for $160+. Maybe around $100-$110 they'd be decent.

    Most overrated headphones?

    ATH-M50s and Beats, imo.

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Trying to decide between the DT880 Pro 600ohm and HE400. Looking for soundstage (mainly instrument separation, but the bigger the soundstage the better I suppose) and decent bass response. I prefer a darker sound signature I think, the HE400 sounds almost exactly like what I want (mid highs...

Headphones with good soundstage and decent bass - Q701, DT880, others?

Well the HE400 looks to be exactly what I'm looking for. Is there anyone who's tried both the HE400 and Q701 and can compare the soundstages, especially layering and separation?

Review by 'Fortunex' on item 'Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro-80 Closed Studio Headphones'

Build -    These are very high quality feeling headphones. The metal headband clamps enough for a decent seal, but not enough to make them uncomfortable at all. The metal attaching the cups to the headband is very rigid, and the plastic cups feel super solid. No complaints about the cable...

Review by 'Fortunex' on item 'Audio-Technica ATH-M50S'

A friend picked up the ATH-M50s as his first decent headphone, and we spent a couple of days swapping back and forth between them and my DT770 Pro 80ohm.   - Build   I found the M50s to be quite well built considering how much plastic was on them. They felt solid, and the folding...

Headphones with good soundstage and decent bass - Q701, DT880, others?

Any more input before I make my decision? Haven't found any other alternatives yet.

    WORST headphone you ever heard?

Other than no-name crap, worst headphones I've heard are ATH-M50s. Mids way too recessed, treble far too harsh.
