help me pick and find tubes to roll with my Little Dot MK IV SE!
I have a Little Dot MK IV Special Edition that I purchased in late 2009, and have been in love with it. Recently one (or more) of the tubes burnt out, so I need some replacements. I have no idea where to start. I know I will probably get more Gold Pin 6H30Pi power tubes, since...- meatwad

Seattle Headphone Repair
hey guys, just last night the right headphone of my Beyer DT770 Pro 250s stopped working. It's not distorted or anything, it's just not on at all. for reference i checked my HD580s and they're fine, so the dt770s are the issue. I bought them from a well-known poster on here, FallenAngel, and he...- meatwad

Replacing HD 580 Drivers
you can get replacement drivers from sennheiser, they're the same drivers as the HD600. HD650 drivers would fit too. depending on what exactly you broke, it might be cheaper just to find a DIYer or repair shop to fix it for you, or it might be cheaper to get the new drivers.- meatwad

Updated my list for a music rig, bringing the total cost to under $600 - Phenom 2, smaller power supply, and onboard viideo. AMD wins.- meatwad

James, here is the list I put together for you. I can email it to you as well. It's just barely over budget, but I think it's very well-appointed for what you want to do with your new computer. Newegg.com - Once You Know, You Newegg You mentioned to me in your PM that you might want to...- meatwad

Oritek OMZ vs. MHDT Paradisea
Which would be better for my setup?! Currently: X-Fi --> Little Dot MK IV SE --> recabled HD580 I like it but I feel like it lacks oomph. And I know I could be getting more out of my headphones and amp with a better source... Currently I am looking at two used DACs, the Oritek OMZ and...- meatwad

I am a firm believer that if you don't NEED a laptop, DON'T GET ONE! If you are just going to have your computer sitting in one place and running your music out to your home audio rig, then you'd basically be throwing away your money on a laptop. Laptops sacrifice performance and flexibility for...- meatwad

I have HD280pro and I personally like them. Some people think there are better 'phones for the money, and I can't rightfully debate that having never owned any other full-sized cans in that price range/caliber, but FWIW I still like them. Good isolation for me. I also wanted to just mention...- meatwad
