IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
Anyone know if the clear/silver Fisher cables oxidize? If they don't, I'd certainly prefer the clear cable to the black cable.- KCChiefsfan

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
Don't all of the silver cables turn green after a while? That's why I went with a black cable on my order form.- KCChiefsfan

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
Quote: Thanks again (I had already sent mine in, with it noted on the order form, but it's nice that it's an "official" deal now :P). I wouldn't have got artwork if it weren't for the deal, so it's really appreciated. Now I just have to hope that translucent red shells with a...- KCChiefsfan

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
I did my own impressions as well. I'm really hopeful that they've turned out okay, but it looks like I won't find out before Christmas. It sounds like they're slammed right now, and I doubt they've even touched the package I sent them with my TF10's.- KCChiefsfan

Triplefi 10 question, about to pull the trigger
Quote: It's hard to pin down, but I don't think so. Voices that are higher (mostly female) don't recede into the background at all. I guess it would be easy enough to go "Man these have an amazing soundstage!" instead of "man, the mids are kind of recessed on these" though. ...- KCChiefsfan

Triplefi 10 question, about to pull the trigger
I got my TF10's during the Amazon sale, and they definitely have recessed mids. Singers are a bit distant in the mix (if their voice is in the recessed range). Other than that, it was never a problem, and I'm sure it could be easily EQ'd. The real problem is the comfort. To my ears, they...- KCChiefsfan

Custom IEM (cable) for iPhone w/mic & volume control
I'm having my TF10's reshelled as well, and I'd be interested in a reasonably priced solution. I have a feeling that any inevitable solution would cost more than I'm paying for the entire TF10 reshell though, including the TF10's themselves. For starters I can just hold the phone up to my...- KCChiefsfan

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
The group buy thread wasn't approved by Jude. In other words, it can't be organized at head-fi, if it's going to be organized. I have no idea if Foie (the guy who was contacting Fisher and Kozee) is still planning to do it or not. If he is, I haven't received my impression material yet...- KCChiefsfan

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
These aren't the IEM's I'd recommend for pure mid-range vocals. For everything in the higher female and lower male ranges though, it's great. It's just that sweet spot right in the middle where things are a bit distant in the mix. I'm sure it's easy enough to fix with EQ, but it doesn't really...- KCChiefsfan

IEMs reshelled into Custom Molds $80 in the USA (TripleFi 10, SE530, etc.) from FISHER HEARING
Does anyone know when (if) Fisher is closing down for the holidays? I just ordered a self-impression kit, so the soonest I could have my impressions to them would probably be some time between the 12th and the 16th. There's no way my reshells would be done by Christmas, is there? Even if I...- KCChiefsfan

I hope permission is granted for the group buy thread pretty quick. I'm hoping to have my TF10's back by Christmas. I'll have a lot of free time to listen, and no TF10's to do it on :P- KCChiefsfan

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Quote: I spent a couple hours listening yesterday, and the mids are definitely a bit recessed. It's not so horrible with instruments in that range, but vocals can seem a bit distant in the mix because of it. Only vocals in that particular range though, so deeper male voices and really...- KCChiefsfan

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Quote: I can keep my Ety's with Shure Olive's in my ears forever without discomfort. I think it has everything to do with how enormous the bore is on the TF10's. Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Just got mine. First impression....they're uncomfortable. I've tried all the tips. The comply tips are the only ones that will really even go in, lol (even with the ear lobe pull method). Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 (from Amazon Black Friday 2011) Unboxing+
I hope I get the retail box, if only because I trust blister packaging to keep the IEM's safer than a plain cardboard box (where the metal case can move around). What I'm kind of wondering at this point is why they don't ship the IEM's inside the crush proof case. Seems like a no brainer...- KCChiefsfan
