Playing with DSLR camera.  

Shure 1540. Powerful bass, insane comfort, light, durable and great clarity despite the massive bass. 

  I am gonna try and remove it and put something in its place. My hope is the sound will be less muffled. 

Has anyone removed the padding over the driver yet? I'm curious what purpose it serves. My friend casper said the ma900's sounded a little like his beyers except sounded muffled like there was a sweater over the drivers. 

I'm currently looking for an in ear monitor that is durable. I've tried countless IEMS before and either the cord gets ruined or the solder joints fail. At this point I don't really care how they sound, I just need something that won't break on me. I plan to use them @ the gym, biking, hiking...

My Sony ma900's are shipped off to the casper to have his magic done. Painted, detachable cable, dual entry cables and possibly new grill. What sucks is i have to wait until the 19th of march to get them back. I told him to show them off @ the michigan meet on the 14th.     I am not the best...

  Not sure. I owned a pair of beyer 990's and i loved the pads. So it seemed like a good fit. Not entirely sure what the pads do to the sound but the comfort is vastly superior.
