Headphone amp suggestions for AKG Q701 & AKG K 181 DJ
I plan to use them in the following situations: 1) Hooked up to a Pro-Ject Phono Box for listening to music via my turntable. 2) Hooked up to a computer for listening to music from the computer. I plan to have it hooked up to the computer for the most part. I am thinking of...- fiber404

Headphone amp suggestions for AKG Q701 & AKG K 181 DJ
Thanks for the recommendations. All of those are sadly out of my price range. If there was something in the $300 - $400 range, I would consider it. Quote:- fiber404

Headphone amp suggestions for AKG Q701 & AKG K 181 DJ
I've done some more reading and the Asgard doesn't look like the most ideal fit for the K701's. I'll do some more research this evening and we'll see what I find.- fiber404

Headphone amp suggestions for AKG Q701 & AKG K 181 DJ
This thread went quiet for a few days - but from what I've read I am leaning towards a Schiit Asgard. Decent price, fairly good reviews and isn't a tube amp (which is what I read aren't the best match for Q/K701/702's). I can go right out of my Pro-Ject Phono Box into the Asgard. Should sound...- fiber404

Headphone amp suggestions for AKG Q701 & AKG K 181 DJ
I have been looking for an amp that I can use to drive a pair of AKG Q701's and a pair of AKG K 181 DJ headphones. I'm looking to spend no more than $300, and would like a form if analog input (RCA) and a form of digital input (preferably S/PDIF). I'd prefer just a simple volume knob. ...- fiber404

[REVIEW] JBL LSR 2325P 5" Studio Monitors Impressions
I certainly enjoy my pair. I have a pair, along with the sub - there's something about them they just seem "tight" and "smooth". I would strongly suggest raising the height of the speakers so they are more level with your ears (the tweeter should be even with your ear).- fiber404

Eva cassidy - Simply Eva
I just listened to the snippets on Amazon - very good. I got a $25 Amazon.com Gift Card as a gift for Christmas. I was going to buy two vinyl releases, but I might just get this CD instead. -

Have you ever listened to a song over and over for days
I usually have a bunch of 10 - 15 songs I listen to a lot. Those always get phased out for new songs every day. Yesterday I started listening to "Joe Bonamassa - Feelin' Good" and "Joe Bonamassa - Funkier Than A Mosquito's Tweeter" and I probably phased out a few songs. "John Mayer - Heartbreak... -

Radial J33
Am looking at picking up a turntable, but am in need of a pre-amp (ideally, with XLR or S/PDIF out). The Radial J33 literature suggests it is for playback of a "33" speed record - can I use it with other speed records - like a "45". I don't see why not, unless there is some technical...- fiber404
