VSonic GR06, are they worth it?
EJ, any update after further burn in? Have you settled on a set of the stock tips or tried any alternatives? Mainly wondering if the detail opened up any after more use or perhaps different tips.- jowens

Vsonic GR06 Review
Mark, great write-up! I will be getting a pair. You wrote about paring them with a Fiio - which one did you try, and can you describe the change? I have an E6 - just wondering if I should bother using it with these, or keep things streamlined and use them straight from my Fuze.- jowens

Replace jack on Sunrise Xcape IE?
My 9 month old xcapes have developed a short at the end of the jack. They only play on 1 side, but if If I press on the end of the jack, where it meets the cable, I get normal sound on both sides. I really like the phones, and wonder if it is possible and worth it to get then repaired? ...- jowens

FiiO E6 - story of the tiny amp continues... (w/ review on 1st page)
ClieOS, how would this compare to a cmoyBB? Also, have you paired the E6 with an Xcape IE? I find the IE to be good straight from my Fuze, but it does need fairly high volume. Hoping something small like an E6 could take the xcape to a higher level. Maybe more bass definition and...- jowens

Problem with Sunrise IE
Definitelty something wrong. Mine sounded great right out of the box. I have literally had dozens of pairs of IEMs - ECCI PR401, Westone 2 and UM3x, Turbines, FS Atrios, Meelec a151, Sennheiser IE7, etc... and these strike a great balance of detail, wide spacious sound, warmth, and bass...- jowens

Problem with Sunrise IE
You either have a bad seal or a bad pair. I got mine a few days ago, and they are excellent. For me, the bass is great - right where I want it to be, especially compared to xcape v1.- jowens

[REVIEW] Sunrise Xcape v2 and Xcited
Quote: How does the IE version compare overall to ECCI PR401? I had some V1 Xcapes, but the bass was not satisfying. I also felt there was some sort of haze or veil on the midrange that could be grating. I have some PR401s on the way , and hope the bass would be in the same 6-7 range...- jowens

SW-Xcape recommended ear tips
I've been using the single flange tips from my Nuforce Ne-6 most of the time. For some reason I wasn't able to get a good seal with the included tips. The comply t400 foams are really good with these for better isolation and a slightly warmer sound.- jowens

[Impression] SoundMAGIC A10 - Oriental Beauty
Quote: Not much of a DIY'er I'm afraid. I have the L6, but I have been reluctant to dive into using an amp with my Fuze if I don't need to. I'm still getting used to the Xcapes (coming from bassier phones), and with a good seal the bass is pretty good without the +3 adjustment. Still...- jowens

[Impression] SoundMAGIC A10 - Oriental Beauty
Thanks for the heads-up on this new product! Have you tried the A10 with Sunrise Xcapes? My potential setup would be Rockboxed V1 Fuze < Fiio L6 LOD < xcape. Seems like Xcape would be a good match if the Re0 is. Most say the Xcape doesn't need an amp, but I wonder if the A10 with...- jowens

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Nuforce NE-700X earphones / IEM (non-mic version) - post your thoughts here
I've only had mine for a few days now, but I wanted to add another postive impression. Haven't spent a ton of time with them yet, but these are really good for the money. About the same amount of bass as the NE-6/7, but considerably more detail in the mids are treble. The best way I...- jowens

Reshell Westone 2?
Has anyone tried to reshell this model into customs? To make a long story short, my dog chewed up my Westone 2 earphones (the longer story starts with me offering to loan them to my wife...) Both housing are cracked open into 2 pieces, exposing the armatures and wiring inside. As far as...- jowens

Larry, anssisa and TheGame, thanks for the early reviews They are well written and informative! I have a set on the way, and was wondering what tips you found gave the best sound? It sounds like the stock single flange are pretty good, but I would like to know what others have...- jowens

uneven seal between left and right ear
Put the long comply on backwards on the right side. It may be a little tough to get on. but having the larger diameter facing in might give a better seal.- jowens

Westone 2 True-Fit IEM Appreciation & Impressions Thread...
Ben, I was in the same boat - the single flange tips sounded great, but did not seal enough to fully deliver the bass these are capable of. With my 2s I ended up "modding" them to get the soft grey silicones to insert a little deeper. I turned one of the clear tips that came in the package...- jowens

ATH-CK10 or Westone 2. Which one should I get?
I'll echo a lot of Tstarn's thoughts on moving from the UM3X to the 2s. I prefer the sound signature of the 2s in the mid and treble range. The mids are nice and full, but still quite detailed. I thought the mids on the 3X were just a bit too rich, crowding out room for enough "air" and...- jowens

Haha, I hear you. The same writer gushed about the Klipsch S4, which seem to be her reference point for great IEMs. While very good for the money are not in the same league as the 2s.- jowens

Hey Tstarn, thanks for the reminder about triflanges cut down to biflange. I tried those last night and immeditelay go a better seal. The bass locked into place, and I am not disspointed in the bass at all. I think for many people, tips that allow deeper insertion (biflange or long complys)...- jowens
