Astell&Kern A&ultima SP3000
A few years back I purchased Sony’s PS-HX500 turntable. It’s perhaps the only known turntable that has a built in DAC that allows me to rip my vinyl records digitally and transfer them over to my AK player. Another labor of love, but I love to have them in this format for another flavor when in...- Dionysus

I also have the CD Ripper MK II and it’s a really nice well built product. It can be a bit of a grind to rip CD however the system is great at making excellent rips and accessing the TOC to get the album art from CDDB and it’s all seamless. Yes it a labor of love but once the process starts...- Dionysus

I would also be a customer for the alternative colored cases. Jason, I get that there were limits to the oem colored 3000. But why don’t we have alternatives for customers who have purchased 3000 ? I bought the black but would love others.- Dionysus

Congrats on your cooper pickup the most beautiful of the bunch in my opinion. I just can’t with my OCD. I had the AK380 and spent more time trying to keep the copper from patina than listening. But I love the look.- Dionysus

For an almost 400.00 thing, they don’t even bother to discribe the product all that well. But if I was guessing it looks like an adapter of some sort. Perhaps an 1/4” adapter.- Dionysus

SP2000 late 2019 release date. SP3000 late Oct 2022 release date. Usually in the past the release dates were HiEnd Munich Germany. So I would say next year at that show pure speculation though- Dionysus

Believe it or not, these shot were taken with an iPhone 14 Pro. Using a portable photo studio box, the cables are Effect Audio Leonidas II. the Leo II are excellent cables and they have smooth out the A18T high, not that they are not great because they are. But they were smooth out and for...- Dionysus

I went to an audiologist and got my ear molds for the A18T and, custom are where it is at. If you plan to keep longterm the fit and comfort is best. I tried universals but constantly had to experiment with tips.- Dionysus

Years ago, I sold all my desktop gear for the SP1000 and move to portable high end gear. I have a set of 64 audio A18 with the 3000 and love the ability to get highfi sound portably and can take with me anywhere I go.- Dionysus

I’ve used the Tidal video app in the past with no issue. But frankly not the best device for that type of application. I think moving forward the device should include at minimum wifi 6 for better performance And that module is not so expensive an add on for an almost 4K device.- Dionysus

You may think it’s funny I use it all the time that way. I also think it’s a better DAC than some of the more expensive products out there. Also it’s more flexible with the ability to use as a Roon end point. And lastly I’ve used AK DAP with the Mojo in my past find the threads amongst many many...- Dionysus

I would agree. I’ve own the original Mojo and it’s a pretty spectacular device for what it is. But you need to consider case use and functionality as well in arriving to a decision to sell the SP3000. Before you make that decision consider them all otherwise you might have regret. You can...- Dionysus
