Why no video playback now?
thank you - the M11 seems like a powerhouse but i put that aside as its over budget - but then budgets can and often do get pushed :) the x5iii seems like the older gen offering now but still offers a lot for the money. Those HiBy, honestly I've never heard of them but they seem to be offering a...- DigitalDeviant

Thanks for the suggestion though. ahh i remember this project from some time ago. Unfortunately compatability is slow and hit and...- DigitalDeviant

The same tf10 remoulds i posted pics of a few posts back. I have had chance to audition them properly now and i couldnt be happier. For me this has really unlocked the potential of these IEMs. Before they were good provided i could get a decent fit/seal and remained relatively still. Now they...- DigitalDeviant

Quote: I owe you a pint . Got my impressions done at specsavers in the end, and it cost £40 - much more reasonable. The Chester specsaver branch was the only one to actually call me back as they said they would so i went with them and incidentally they were literally metres away from...- DigitalDeviant

Quote: Thank you kindly, but there is a misunderstanding. Im looking to get my first ear impressions ever, so I can send them off to you. You were very helpful via email and so decided to go for your reshell service. My local audiologist wants £100 pounds though which is $160...- DigitalDeviant

David thanks! I did not think to try specsavers -in fact I had no idea they may do them. Lieghtons are too far out but I have rang every specsavers from Chester to Liverpool and audiologists must be like rocking horse crap around here because not one had their audiologist on site and so could...- DigitalDeviant

Thanks for all the input on this thread, most informative. I have been putting up with ill fitting Sfi5 pro's for some time. I love the sound but the fit prevents me wearing them too long and often. After reading through this (rather epic) thread and emailing Kaysen i have bought some TF...- DigitalDeviant

Please make my Cowon D2 sound like a Zune.
The D2 supports multiple jet effect profiles. It maybe that there simply isnt a config that youll be consistently happy with, so configure a number of profiles. I only use a couple myself, but they seem to cover the music i listen too quite well.- DigitalDeviant

Can you tell lossless from lossy with your portable setup?
Got me thinking so Ive gone back and listened to a few FLAC Vs 320s - i have to admit that there was a placebo effect going on, mostly theres no decernible difference so far as i can hear. Although there are definaltey some tracks i can hear differences in. Perhaps its just down to how they were...- DigitalDeviant

Can you tell lossless from lossy with your portable setup?
For the most part i cant tell 320/FLAC appart but on some tracks i can and the difference is quite clear. Not sure what the lingo is, but i think sounds just seperate better the higher the bitrate. With trance music in particular having many different layers to the music, the seperation and...- DigitalDeviant
