The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)

The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)
I think i'm gonna stick with nikon, unless canon is slightly more advantageous in terms of lens. Do you guys think I should get a D3100 to start out? http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX30313 $469 or maybe a T3? http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX32323 D5100 is $559 I'm not...- NeonPirateKing

The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)
Hey Guys! I'm looking to delve deeper into photography, but I don't know where to start. I've always used point and shoots, but my point and shoot recently broke, so I thought I would finally upgrade. What are some good resources for learning? Also, what gear should I try to start with?- NeonPirateKing

Is it an upgrade going from AT ATH-A700 to AT ATH-M50?
If i remember the l3 right, that'd be a line out for your iPod. So skip on the L3. Quote:- NeonPirateKing

Looking for 'phones (Under $100)
Heh, the portapros might not even be covered anymore, with the stuff i've done to it. I've never heard of a warranty for grado or anything... More info please? Heh, I'm not ready for an amp, i don't have a cc, or anything to buy things online, so an amp is usually out of the question. I'm...- NeonPirateKing

Looking for <$50, over ear, for office use and slip profile
Portapros sound like they would be a nice fit... They're not too bulky on the head, and they don't isolate sound, so you can't hear others. Under $50 too.- NeonPirateKing

Help Please! Need to fix PortaPros
Thanks yellowjeep! I tried soldering it onto the plug, but it didn't work, after i made sure everything was connected properly. I just chopped off the cable along with the plug from some crappy earbuds, and i soldered the ends that attach onto the drivers in my portapro. Thanks! Quote:- NeonPirateKing
