grado sr60i cup tuning
It has nothing to do with the plastic , it's the wider opening at the end of the cup, opening everything up: bigger wider sound stage bigger an defined bass and cleans up the mids and the highs.- stocker1

How did you get the brackets to fit or did you make custom ones. I am using the same cups.I listened to them and they sound very good big wide sound stage and awesome bass , focus, vocals are crystal clear.- stocker1

I think if you listen for a while you will notice the low end is more defined and more like a sub woofer bass where you kind of feel it a little more than you hear it- stocker1

I tried 4 vent holes and it really screwed up midrange and the bass became muddy. then I tried 10 holes and it opened up everything .More dynamic more defined bass and detail. I also noticed that when i damped the magnet on the back of the driver I covered up the two holes on the magnet cover...- stocker1

Hello, Here is my transformed i Grado headphones: First I Removed the drivers cut all of the mounting tabs. I had a pair of Sony MDR-V150 Headphones that I never use so I used it for parts.You can use any headphones that you can make fit.The ear pads fit perfectly, just a little bit...- stocker1

I tried a different mod on the ear pad: Cut a larger hole than a quarter and then when you reinstall the pads reverse them, this seems to open up the sound stage and focus the sound.- stocker1

I just purchased an igrado great headphones!! Mine did not have any inside foam but it did have thin mesh screens over the outside of the driver housing.
