Disc Golf, anybody play?
I love disc golf..unfortunately I live in Germany now and don't get to playing so much. I usually use a Champion Teebird as my main driver, and a valkyrie if I want a bit more curve. I have used Orcs before, and they are pretty good. I find the Teebird is much more predictable, and flies...- Shimmer

Who will win the FIFA world cup?
Quote: Bad calls happen extremely often. Do some research on Germany/England 1966, and you will see the teams are now even in terms of 'getting robbed'. This is the reason football needs a system where the coaches can challenge one or two blatantly wrong calls a game. If there...- Shimmer

Who will win the FIFA world cup?
Lol what hypothetical argument from my side? I'm not the one saying that England could have won IF the goal counted. Germany won and goes on, England goes home...end of argument. No hypothetical argument there.- Shimmer

Who will win the FIFA world cup?
Quote: This is a naive statement. Everyone knows, especially the pro athletes that play the sport, that would ofs and could ofs are complete rubbish. What happens happens, and every team has to deal with unfair calls that go against them re: Germany/Serbia, and many other games this...- Shimmer

Robbed 4-1. Lol...get real. England got smashed, should have been 4-2, but it wasn't. 4-2 is still getting reamed hard. Germany wanted it more.- Shimmer

Can't believe student universe didn't have anything cheaper. I usually save $400 or more on round trip flights from Germany to the US.- Shimmer

Who will win the FIFA world cup?
I am happy for South Africa. Based on first half performance I would say they didn't deserve a draw, but they played hard the second half, and Mexico looked to be getting tired. That SA goal was pretty sweet too.- Shimmer

If you are a student you can get some great deals. I do quite a bit of flying, and I find that Student Universe has some of the best deals available for my flights. You have to be able to prove you are a student, but the money saved is pretty great!- Shimmer

Bicycle-Fi!
Woo hoo..bike got delivered, but didn't come with front light and rack like it said on the website. The shop had made a typo and had the 2009 Jamis Commuter 4.0 specs for the 2008. The shop (Bicycle Bananas) made it good by giving me $100 to spend on a rack and lights. Dropped the price to...- Shimmer

Rec for comfortable cans with decent bass (not a bass fiend) under $100
I recall they usually were cheapest from ebay. I think you need to make an offer. Maybe someone recalls how low the seller will go?- Shimmer

~100 eur headphones for iPod
You said you were concerned about comfort. Most people would say K518 isn't for you as they have somewhat high clamping force. I for one have no problems with comfort, but the vast majority of people seem to.- Shimmer

2009 College Football Thread
As a Sooner I think I like probable upcoming changes. Overall better competition and deeper conference. Might be a bit more tough to run the table, but I think it will make a team like OU stronger. One thing that must happen is that the winner of each 8 team division gets an automatic BCS...- Shimmer

JVC HA-RX700 Mods

You may also want to consider the Denon D1001 or Creative Aurvana Live!. They are basically the same with the D1001 being of better build quality, hence the higher price.- Shimmer

I don't have too much full size under $100 can experience, but FWIR audio technica M50 get a lot of praise around here for being good for the money. Maybe research them a bit..I know they are quite a bit more popular than the Shure SRH440. Also, people say the JVC HARX700 is a great deal too.- Shimmer

Rec for comfortable cans with decent bass (not a bass fiend) under $100
Since you said you weren't totally stuck on open...I would increase your options to closed as well. In my opinion there are better closed phones than open phones to be had for under $100. Mainly because the bass of the open phones in that price range will be lacking, and the sound stage...- Shimmer

akg k518
I have no idea of the bass of the JBL or Portapros. If you could possibly increase your budget the Denon D1001 or the cheaper, but almost exactly the same Creative Aurvana Live might be better for you. I think you would also be quite happy with a K518LE, they sound quite good for the music you...- Shimmer

If you only have 50 euros to spend, then I think that the K518LE is a good decision (In my opinion). Some people think that they have too much bass. However, I think it is hard with your budget to get something much better. Also, if your head is fairly large you may want to think about...- Shimmer
