That argument is meaningless as the conversion could be done before play time so you can take as long as you like.- liquidsmoke

Does this rule apply for the 2qute as well? For some reason I find that SACD rip DSD files sent via DoP to 2qute sound great. 24/88 flac rip of the same file sounds decent but not as good as the DSD DoP. However what I don't understand is that if I play any redbook 16/44 flac cd rips, they...- liquidsmoke

Chord Electronics 2Qute DAC announced
Aren't they both just different implementations of a low pass filter? I'm no electrical genius but those kinds of hf filters aren't rocket science I don't think? I'm not saying you're wrong. Just trying to understand why 1 filter is any better than the other given the reasoning that bob watts...- liquidsmoke

Anyone tried one of these cheapo ones? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331883119394 I presume the jitterbug is just a simple low pass filter?- liquidsmoke

Apologies if this has been discussed before. But I just got my 2qute and I'm very pleased. However the USB doesn't sound as good as the optical. Now on my previous dac (musical fidelity m1 dac) I had the same issue, however I thought this would be solved with the 2qute galvanic isolation. It's a...- liquidsmoke

OK cool, thanks for the response :) I preferred the optical input of the musical fidelity m1 dac that this is replacing; I suspect because my old mac mini makes a lot of noise on the usb ground. I guess I will just have to test it back to back when i get the 2qute. If the USB does seem...- liquidsmoke

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
Rob, I was planning on connecting my old mac mini to a chord 2qute with USB. I have removed the power pins on my USB cable; does this mean it will not work with the 2qute? I note you say that the galvanic isolation built into the 2qute requires power from the source? (I've not received the...- liquidsmoke

OSX output to USB DAC always showing 24/192!?
Hi, I've just been playing about with my new DAC and USB connector. I've gone for the Musical Fidelity M1 DAC and also a V-Link 192. Now when I connect these 2 new toys to my windows machine and load the specific drivers, it all works fine. There are LED indicators on the DAC and V-Link to...- liquidsmoke

Well, I was hoping to get away with just editing my reply, but since javier has responded I now can't :( lol. So after I spent about 3 hours faffing around with windows drivers I flicked the switch and it's all good :) I have tested a couple of well produced tracks including the Michael Jackson...- liquidsmoke

I have one of these and only seem to be able to get 96khz mode to work. i have set the jumpers to async, the async light is on. Drivers installed OK on Win7x86. Just detects as 96 only, and if I try and play a 192khz file in foobar with wasapi it gives me an error!? :(- liquidsmoke

Hi, I have one of these, well it just turned up :) I have been using the headfi forum for lots of research and after considering many options I decided I wanted to try an async USB one, perhaps the arc am rdac or musical fidelity m1dac. I will give some feedback once it's run in. Although I will...- liquidsmoke
