Foobar. How do you sort by date?
sonci, that was completely clear and I was able to follow your directions. Despite this, my files don't sort properly, as it seems that %added% refers to when the songs were added to foobar library. However, I'd like foobar to sort based the "Date Modified" or "Date Created" fields in Windows...- skylaiden

Are lossless codecs impractical for me?
Thanks, I checked it out. I put it "0" for the field next to V, but the files are just as big as the lossless versions.- skylaiden

Are lossless codecs impractical for me?
I use LameXP for encoding. It doesn't have a setting to choose "v0", but there's a Quality slider. What quality setting should I use for v0? Or is there better encoding software out there?- skylaiden

Are lossless codecs impractical for me?

Are lossless codecs impractical for me?
Hmm, I listened to lossy and lossless versions of songs and I can hear the difference in all of them, but the biggest difference happens with music that has distorted instruments that play a big role in the track, or tracks that have been mixed to modern post-prod specs--referring to the "battle...- skylaiden

Are lossless codecs impractical for me?
Hey, First, I just wanna say I love this forum. Such intriguing stuff. Ok so with that said, I kinda just wanted to shoot the breeze with anyone interested in this. When you factor in stuff like: the filesize increase, higher quality sound that may or may not be recognized, lesser-quality...- skylaiden

proper wire for computer speakers
hi, my speakers sound great with the 2 foot wire they came with, but when i try the longer 5 foot wire (also came with it), it sounds worse. it's a tad more distorted and output is lower. i need more length (that's what she said) since i'm switching to a desktop setup. what wire should i get...- skylaiden
