It's been a while since I've been on the forum. I've been a little enveloped in PC hardware and VR (HTC Vive). Haven't really had time for audio. So I'm here because my M50x doesn't 100% cut it for me. I love everything about the headphones except that I'm completely shut out of my environment...

So I'm looking for a good pair of phones. Something that appealed to me was really good build quality. I would like to be able to use these as gaming phones as well as music. One pair that has gotten my attention is the Sony MDR-X10. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Okay so I plan on buying a pair of AKG Q701 headphones. I will use these with my Behringer 502 for studio mixing. And with PC for gaming with Astro Mixamp and with iPod Touch 4 for music. I plan on getting a pair of closed back headphones for portability so no need to say how much the 701's...
