I can only play music through foobar due to asio. Is it problem due to my emu 0404 usb?

hi, I got a XMOD as a gift and now i want to use it as a external DAC to my onboard sound card. My headphone is A700 Can someone advise me how to do this?

I mainly listen to rock and classical music and gaming. Anything under 100 and does not need an amp is good. thx
