Hi, it's been about 7-8 years since I've made a post at Head-Fi, or bought any expensive headphones. Used to have the Shure E3c, E4c, some Westones, and Alessandro MS1. Did some lurking recently, and got the RE-400 Hifiman (which I really like) to replace my lack of working IEMs. My desktop...

So I've had my Shure e4's for about one year now. When I first recieved them, I wasn't quite able to find a distinct difference between it and the e3 except better clarity (I'm using the 5g video iPod as a source). Perhaps it was just my ears..but I used the tri-flanges that came with it...

So I recently bought the Alessandro MS-1s without bothering to see the "mini-plug" adaptor selection. A week later, I get my Alessandros and there comes the mammoth-sized 1/4" headphone jack. Well, I can't plug this thing into anything! Is there a 1/4" to 1/8" jack available, or must I send...

I know this has been asked several times already, but I've heard two different ways of cutting the triflange and I'm not exactly sure which method is better. well, I just recieved my shure e4cs and they came with triflanges. I put them on and they're better then even the foamies/soft flex...

Other then the Zu Mobius, that is. One that will add the impact in the bass, and possibly more soundstage. If possible, it'd be nice if it was portable. Oh, and less then $200 would be nice too.

The ATH900 swallows the AKG with its hugeness! D: Aha, joke. Well, anyway. I've pretty much came down to these two headphones for my first step into my audio journey (or technically second - I got the shure e3cs before I even knew of this place). Both of these cans are within my price range...
