Would I be able to implement an HDMI to Coax converter to successfully transmit a 24/196 resolution audio signal from a Blu-Ray Audio disc through to the Coax input on my DAC - which is capable of accepting 196k resolution?

I just bought a new pair of AKG K702's along with an Auzentech X-Fi Forte sound card. Whenever I play music, a static sound is emitted from the headphones. If anyone has any insight on this, that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I'm hearing static through my (new) AKG K702 headphones when I play music on my computer through iTunes. Computer audio is not my area of expertise to say the least. Any help is greatly appreciated.
