Okey, what do one need to get the best sound out of linux? Tickless kernel? Jack Audio? Audio-drivers compiled into the kernel instead of being modules? Lightweight UI?

So, what headphones are the fastest? Size, type and price are no concern as I'm not going to buy them(at least for now). My Alessandro MS-Pros are damn fast, but there just have to be faster phones out there.

There is one problem when using the computer as playback device. And that is that it's to easy to change song, album, artist. When you put a Vinyl down, you let it spin to the end. When you put a CD in, you will atleast listen to one song. But on a computer, things like that hardly ever happen...
