The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: Drivers on 600ohm version are better controlled... Look at measurements from innerfidelity, it's quite easy to spot. Therefore people should as well mention which version they have when talking about DT880.- RustA

Looking to upgrade from AKG K702
Quote: All the differences are rather subtle but they SHOULD be possible to hear... It's not an academical difference, it's definitely something I expect to do a appreciable difference! If short on money, 250ohm will definitely do... But if you can spend a bit more, definitely go...- RustA

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: I think you made the right choice... T1 should offer you all - comfort, ergonomy and built, reasonable neutrality while having more "fun" bass (but still linear), quality soundstage. I think you will have a perfect opportunity to listen, analyze and find out what is the...- RustA

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: What I've said is that when the track is seriously flawed, it does not matter (at least to my ears) if I listen to it with LCD-2 or HD800... I dont like it on both and therefore dont bother. That said, this is a case only with certain albums that are extremely compressed or...- RustA

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: Have you read the review on headfonia, btw? I was seriously considering to try K1000 but after reading reviews and asking people, the impression I got is that HD800 are simply the more complete and versatile headphone, especially if you don't only listen to classical or acoustic...- RustA

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
HD800 must be clearly better than LCD-3 for classical... Much better soundstage, better acoustic instruments. Well, I prefer HD800 for every single genre to be honest. I told Lugbug1 that HD800 are clearly better (than LCD-2)... He seems to understand now ,-)- RustA

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: I must disargee... I prefer HD800 over more "fun" headphones even for electronic, pop or black metal ,-) And there are several people who have the same opinion here, at least. It's all about how you want to hear your music, not about what the other people think! The problem...- RustA

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: This... Except for that the perceived level of brightness depends on output impedance of your amplifer (the higher impedance, the more significant bass, the more smooth presentation with HD800), overall quality of your system (since HD800 is very revealing) and on quality of your...- RustA

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
Quote: It would be certainly nice but LCD-2 are really a lot different from HD800... Of course, you can enjoy both but if you only want to choose one, it's really difficult to decide unless you heard both. I would advise to ignore all comments about abou LCD-2 being too dark and HD800...- RustA

Quote: Well, some may already know I am the biggest fan of Denons and Fostex headphones evah... Haven't heard TH-600 but while I praise Fostex for making obviously a"fun" headphone of the highest caliber with quite an impressive measurement (TH900), I don't think I would be able to...- RustA

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Quote: No, general consensus is that those two are comparable... My friend has very similar tastes ( = what I wrote in previous posts quite applies to him as well) and while he prefers HD800 over both HE-6 and LCD-3, he sees LCD-3 (and HE-6) to be on the same level overally but again...- RustA

Quote: Nobody said LCD-2 are crappy, they are my favourite headphones up to 1000USD! They are just completely different, the complete opposite of HD800. Also, HD800 cost 1500USD while LCD-2 cost 1000USD. Well, they cost nearly the same in Europe but that's another story...- RustA

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Quote: Interesting... I've extensively compared both side by side and LCD-2 simply lacked microdetail and their treble was too shelved down to offer me all information stored in my music files, in comparison to HD800. That said, I must agree that LCD-2 are already great here and I could...- RustA
