Another issue I realized that I am using a R2R RU6 most of the time at home, that also contributed to my perception of bass, so your source also matters.- wolfstar76

That confirms my own comparison test: Pilgrim OG and Noir are very similar with the same cable and tips, while there is a much larger perceived difference with stock cables.- wolfstar76

Interesting configuration with BCD for high and ultra high. This makes me wonder if it is entirely possible? for vibration that you can not only hear but also feel, typically will be lower frequency, how can a BCD vibrate so fast to enhance high and ultra high? I am not woman so have no idea.- wolfstar76

It happens to me frequently, and as matter of fact, last night, I was out with the touring Pilgrim Noir I had the same experience as you mentioned. I was out around 7:30 PM, and during my first hour of listening, I found Noir's sound horrible: bass light, lack of resolution, and just...- wolfstar76

Yes, I also remembered reading that, I will try it later, though I have to buy at least 100 o-ring, which is the minimal quantity from Amazon.- wolfstar76

You don't need to be a big shot, all the coolers heard the pre-production units during one of the CanJams. BTW, your reviews are always very professional. However, I would like you to do a test if you still have the Pilgrim: try to push the Pilgrim towards your ears to see if the bass...- wolfstar76

Yes, and the fit for Pilgrim is also not easy to identify unlike most other IEMs, I can feel the fit is not good for some tips, but for Pilgrim, as I mentioned above, sometimes, I feel the fit is good but the bass was horrible and clearly the seal was not formed. I tried Eletech as well, again...- wolfstar76

I did not have the opportunity to demo Trifecta, but I have Trio. For its price, it is really good, but it just stops there. I don't think Trio can compete even remotely with any good kilobuck IEM, let alone Trifecta, a $3k+ IEM.- wolfstar76

I am still in the middle of spending more time with them, but for Pilgrim, it is one of the most tip-sensitive IEMs. Since received Noir, I put the tips from Pilgrim to Noir and started to look for another tip for Pilgrim. During the tip rolling process, majority of my tips do not work. In some...- wolfstar76

After burn-in, even if not fully, the sub-bass will improve. My impression in the very beginning is that the bass of Voltage is more leaning toward mid-bass, but after about 20 hours, I can feel the sub-bass increases, and now I am totally satisfied with switch 1 being down.- wolfstar76

Just received the Pilgrim/Noir tour kits. My first 5 minutes of unfair A/B test with the touring Noir and my own Pilgrim, Pilgrim wins hands down. However, it is the Noir stock cable with Pilgrim with Code 24.- wolfstar76
