ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
^ i've not compared them directly yet but i'm thinking that the utopia's midrange is more forward and its treble more prominent. the caldera seems to have a more spacious and relaxed presentation. it should make for an interesting comparison when i get around to it.- up late

ZMF Caldera - New Planar Magnetic from ZMF!
the caldera is such an enjoyable listen while possessing the requisite technical chops of a high-end headphone. and it does this in an unforced way. i intend to compare it to my og utopia in future but i have no desire to listen to another headphone at the moment.- up late

^ planar magnetic driver 'crinkling' is a thing. while it may be disconcerting, i don't think that it's serious. if it continues to bother you then i suggest that you contact ZMF for advice/reassurance.- up late

i'm not a metallurgist but i think that the difference between rust and tarnish is more than just a matter of 'semantics and accepted english usage'. rust primarily affects iron and its alloys such as steel.- up late

silver doesn't rust so you were wrong about that in your post. it does tarnish tho. how badly it tarnishes and why is beside the point.- up late
