    Just picked up a (used) set of the MiG (1.0) and put them under the power conditioner. Things got better; in particular, the soundstage expanded significantly and resolution improved by a(nother) notch.

    HD 600 and HD 650 are now the same cost. Which one?

    The HD650 can be more demanding [of upstream gear--especially the amplifier] but also more rewarding. That said, I have owned both, with the greater amount of time devoted to the HD600.
