I have listened to Audio Technica M50X for 30 mins now and I feel MUCH better about my Monarchs. Truly piercing highs, tonality completely off 🤣. Fake weird bass, non existing mids. When I heard them 5 years ago, I was stunned by their sound... I guess its about what we already heard, how...- Golyatx

sometimes I have similar feelings with Monarchs too, I think its similar, but little better polished in Monarchs, you can try add +2db to 500 or 750 hz (Q1,5) and/or reduce 180hz by 1,5db Q1,5 , see if it helps.. foam tips greatly reduce 7.5khz peak, but also take decent about of "detail"...- Golyatx

try this ☺️ best from Tidal ofc. first one is lowkey your style, chill song second one is one of the few that gave me goosebumps on first listen on Monarchs because terrific mastering, well placed instruments, very impressive textured bass, absolute banger defined bass- Golyatx

I would take from Amazon, its 10% more expensive, but 14 days return.. if it doesnt suits you its still better than selling it at used market for 70%.- Golyatx

I also had this issue with LG V60 as a source, but with AK SR25 it doesnt bother me anymore. If I tried to reduce it, it really sounded liveless.- Golyatx

For anyone interested in little EQ. (@MidnightSun ) Peak 180hz -1.5db Q2 Peak 14khz -1.5db Q1 It removes little midbass "mudines", removes little airines, so zinging is no more king of the show and create kinda balanced sound for my ears. I like this and stock kinda same. Sometimes I need...- Golyatx

LCD-X and XC Update
As you can see in my sign. Clear had very WOW signature. I loved it mids and overall energy. Their build quality was "bad" for me, because pads got grey after one week from my oily head. And dont get me started on driver excursion. That was the main reason why I sold it. I had to keep eye on...- Golyatx

Best IEM tips?
Definitely try it. They are best for me together with JVC Spiral Dots. For me, JVC Spiral Dots get sound warmer, but they still retain clarity, but pushed just a little back (lower treble). Tri Clarion have weaker midbass ("colder") but brings more detail into music. Im switching between those...- Golyatx

Best IEM tips?
I also had Comply many times in cart, until I bought it, and have never been so disapointed :-D They degrade quality of sound to like 2$ IEM. At least in my case, and compared to Tri Clarion.- Golyatx
