Agree absolutely! Neither the RS6 nor RS8 did anything for me. I wanted badly for it to work so I would have a LP like DAP with streaming. Alas! It was not to be. But it is what it is. 😆

Frankly, I am not a fan of Hiby’s rendition of R2R. It sounds like there is too much attempt to sound like a DS. But of course YMMV. Yes, LP is quite unapologetic about its pure R2R sound.

Not quite sure where you read that. Especially about R2R. Until and unless there is a definitive statement from LP, one should not confuse statements of hope or conjecture with what are facts. ;)

Running Roon Arc on the iPad Pro and streaming to the E7. Magical how tech has progressed that I can listen to music on my Melco NAS at home in Singapore while I am in London. :)

After a day out in the usual mercurial London weather, time for some music with the E7. Love the work that the LP team has done with further improving BT streaming. The colour of the leather cover is distorted cos of the yellow light in the hotel room. :)

Yes. The E7 is meant to be a separate product line and it would not make sense for LP to cannibalise the flagship R2R and the portable R2R product lines. :)

No pressure. Good things are worth the wait. :) Yeah.,, the Singapore Girls never notice my state of the art FitEar Titan or DC Ti.., Just the ET cables… 🤭

Travelling, whether it be for work or on holiday, can be frustrating when the DAP you have cannot seem to bring up the log in page for the hotel captive wifi. Thank goodness for devices like Creative Technology’s BT-W5, a USB Bluetooth transmitter which allows the iPad Pro to transmit in APTX HD...

The E7 did very well with the M9+ streaming downloaded QQMusic and Apple Music via BT to the E7 on a 13.5 hours flight from SG to London Heathrow. Seasonal turbulence notwithstanding. And of course the noise isolation of the FitEar DC Ti was excellent as ever!

The E7 accompanying me on an intercontinental flight to London. It got the call over the LP R2R DAPs I have. I will confess that having 3 tunings in one compact machine clinched it for me. And great BT connectivity with the Shanling M9+ is also excellent! :)

I have thus far spent most of my time on the E7 with the Fitear customs: the DC Ti, Titan, Air2, DC and MH335ht. In particular, the E7 sounds spectacular with the DC Ti and Titan, especially if you switch to the HD tuning because the sound stage and layering is impressive. Of course, at the end...

Yeah… I leave mine just plugged into power. And the recharging at the set percentage works nicely. :) I suspect all the android processes and wifi are still draining the battery even if you just leave the M30 idle. I just switch off when I am done with the M30. :)
