Who's into tubes that glow blue in the dark? These new production Tung Sol KT66/7581A looks glowingly good in the dark :) The bass on these Tung-Sol rivals the KT88 in the slam factor IMHO and beats it in sheer presence. Mids are somewhere in between TAD KT66 and KT88 in the lushness. Treble is...

    NEW HIFIMAN Susvara Unveiled!

IMHO, I get the gist that the Sus Unveiled won't scale as much as the veiled OG, but at least it's easier to drive and get the most out of it than the OG. With the OG, depending on the chain, it can sound from unengaging or dead flat to OMG incredibly slammy, tight, dynamic, subterranean bass...

Bonneville or Black Star is the best choice for slam. However, you will have a slight upper treble emphasis with the Bonneville which adds a good amount of sparkle and is an evolution from the Andromeda family

My six-year-old daughter flawlessly passed a blind test between a silver-plated wire and a copper one

LOL. It has to do with the wire gauge rather than the material itself. a 12awg solid core cable will have more rolled-off treble than a multi-sized enamel stranded litz wire: https://www.hflitzwire.com/frequency-as-per-awg-size/

Schiit Mjolnir 3 - Impressions Thread

Some people like the way Utopia stages with SET amps and the output impedance elevation (5-8 ohm) really helps take away the sharpness that <1 ohm output impedance amps highlight out of Utopia. With MJ3, it really excels with planars but it won't hide Utopia's sharp nature as it's a very...

On my both Triode strapped tube amps, high impedance option allows for the more evocative sound at the cost of grip and control. The key is to roll tubes and that maximizes the good stuff while minimizing the negative effects of others aka find the optimum balance of grip, control, dynamics...

Tube rolling the amp is not a need for the Aegis but I’m still gonna honestly tease you that you’re missing out on lots of awesomesauce if you haven’t tried rolling tubes with the Aegis. I do get where you’re coming from especially when you have a DNA SET amp where tube rolling is somewhat not...

    HiFiMan Susvara

Without the Z10E or a proper amp, Susvara might sound a bit limp on dynamics especially when compared to Arya Stealth. Biggest difference though is you get more of a spherical imaging with the Sus rather than expansive and wide Arya Stealth
