I believe that when seeking the best sound quality, the priority should be in the following order: In-Ear Monitors/Headphones first, source second, and finally, cables. I really enjoyed the XM4 as well. It is darker, but it doesn't have quite the clarity as the XM5. Both have their place, I never thought the XM5 was a true upgrade, but there are many, or so I have read, think it is an upgrade. I do however think Sennheiser is also guilty of not making major...

My Sony's arrived for the third time. Unfortunately, as I expected both pairs of my new Azla tips are going back. I wish they had an XL because their L wont seal in my ears. That said, my app synced and I made sure it is completely set up. I used the find my EQ feature and these sound great...

The magic happens all over again, once I use them. Top tier sound.

So...to me the Svanar and B&O EX are my sound quality champions. EX checks the most boxes on your list, except for ANC

What is important to you?

I am not involving myself in this conversation, only to say that I have always said in my reviews, that cables would be the last tweak I would add to my chain. It is more about ergonomics for me than sound.
