Lets Talk Metal
I would recommend Secret Sphere, Persuader, Vision Divine, etc over Blind Guardian any day of the week. -
Lets Talk Metal
Blind Guardian has only released two albums I have ever enjoyed. This was not one of them. Blind Guardian isn't something I would associate with quality, personally. I'd associate them with consistency, and mediocrity, in that they're consistently mediocre. -
Lets Talk Metal
I mostly listen to Power/Prog, some Melodeath. Prove me wrong. Only good release is Secret Sphere. Kamelot's upcoming album has me hopeful. -

I just built a new desktop :D Got my near-fields set up, and my AKG K340 vintage going through my receiver until I get a dedicated amp. Can someone recommend a better place to stick my speakers? I feel like they're in a kinda inefficient spot.- CrystalT

looking for the least expensive portable amp that can drive 400.ohm headphones.
Plugging in to HPO on laptop and phone sound is quiet and rather weak. ipod nano 6g and zune hd 16gb can drive them reliably for home usage, but not quite well enough for portable usage. Being that they're semi-open, outside noise is a factor. From experience double amping is fine. I have...- CrystalT

I need something that can drive AKG K340 vintage. 400 Ohms & 94 dB/mW I am on a budget and I'm not looking for anything with bells and whistles, really. Just want to be able to use my headphones.- CrystalT

looking for the least expensive portable amp that can drive 400.ohm headphones.
I don't see anywhere in the review urging me away from the product. Is there something in my price rage that would perform better?- CrystalT

looking for the least expensive portable amp that can drive 400.ohm headphones.
A creative soundblaster e1 is capable of driving headphones up to 600 ohms and its the same hardware as the fiio e7k. Would that be sufficient? I'm looking for the least expensive options currently. Ideally sub 100- CrystalT

low profile active 2.0 system?
They need to go through my monitors 3.5mm out. Also at that price I could buy 3 benq or Asus evo/mlg monitors which have built-in speakers. Sent from my SPH-L300 using Tapatalk 2 -

The other players need to be able to hear the game systems output too, don't they? -
low profile active 2.0 system?
I travel around the country streaming competitive video games. I'm looking for a pair of low-profile active speakers to travel with. My gaming monitor doesn't have built-in speakers, and ones that do aren't the easiest to travel with.- CrystalT

Pioneer SE-A1000 (Sennheiser HD 650 for $45?)
Actually Shure's one of the go-tos for closed cans as well. The 440, 840, and 940 are kings of their price range.- CrystalT

Pioneer SE-A1000 (Sennheiser HD 650 for $45?)
As much as I love Pioneer's sound (My home theater is almost all Pioneer), I've become more of a Shure fangirl over the years. Almost all of my listening time goes to my SHR840,. SE315, and my recently aquired AKG K340.- CrystalT
