For mojo1 there are YT videos for battery replacement. Google finds mojo battery replacement too. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/chord-mojo-battery.956631/ But mojo2?- Meridian7

I would expect from a decent piece of electronics these days to have a temperature monitoring that cuts out functionality when a compromising threshold is crossed.- Meridian7

@powermod Yes that is the way to see what MS does, live with a while it then change back and notice the 'missing'. Stellia benefits but planar magnetic open back shows it more what MS does. Another step forwards would be powering MS with battery. Certainly when you use non-ferrited bnc...- Meridian7

I've never tried anything else than optical output from the Holo Red tbh 🤷🏻 Did try coax once but not enough to talk about experience.- Meridian7

Mr. Ron Watts or anyone inclined in the matter, could you please shed light on my question: The localization of a sound source depends on which ear hears it loudest but also on the distance between ears in relation to speed of sound, aka one ear hears it first. Am I correct that this 'first...- Meridian7

Posts from @daveya and @VishnuKare said it right, that 43mins is not time needed to charge again. You think it is. It uses that time before deciding to decouple the battery from the mojo2. A strategic decision to avoid being trickle charge for too long.- Meridian7

I suppose it does not goto purple desktop mode the moment it reaches 100% but needs a certain time to be at 100% to engage desktop mode.- Meridian7

@bpcans I never tried upgraded cords so far. Could you try feeding the SB for Mscaler out of an unfilterd mains instead of the AQ outlets please? Just for testing?- Meridian7

You are certainly not alone considering EQ or headroom or volume adjustments an impact on SQ. Good question though. Looks like Rob W found a different way.- Meridian7

Sharing a subjective Sbooster for Mscaler experience: the SB manual said to be careful with addition of mains filters, one should check if Q is not suffering because SB has own mains filtering inside. Two filters might interfere with each other. And indeed, feeding SB out of a Puritan block...- Meridian7

Indeed, the technical summum is not a solid measure for 'personal subjective preference'. It's more of a confirmation or love for excellence and it hits the joy buttons for those apreciating it, if mixing, mastering, budget and the rest of the gear and firing neurons allow a particular light to...- Meridian7

Holo Audio Red Streamer
Hi, (late reply) Just opposite in my case, but that could be because I used ProJect Streambox S2 Ultra as a streamer (when Red as DDC). Clearly the streamer of the Holo Red was better. Drastic difference. Swapped usb cable between ProJect and Red too see if that was the cause but nope.- Meridian7

An indicator of discontent would be a plumetting 2nd hand price, but 50% of msrp after 9 years is showing respect imho. By dry statistics: 8-9 years of selling a product, if it's so long on the market, why aren't there more available on the 2nd hand market? On audio-marktDOTde in general is...- Meridian7

Those wifi bridges to streamer, I feed them from 12V battery too, very satisfied with the result! My hard wired network setup, hard if not completely impossible to note differences. But the general health of your particular wifi realm wil be very important I guess.- Meridian7

I'm not very sure, but feeding such a unit from a free usb slot of the streamer itself was not as good as feeding the unit from a standard 5V mains adapter (you use to charge your phone with) I started using those in rooms without wired network sockets. A temporary solution that went unchanged...- Meridian7
