Fiio K19 a RME ADI-2 DAC FS Challenger?
Not sure if I need 16W. Too high for headphones and too low for speakers. How the product support ends up remains to be seen. The RME support is top notch along with Firmware updates and YT video help. An interesting product for sure, however.- NA Blur

Relatively low volume Grado
Save your money and go with a different brand. Grado drivers are all the same and if you actually look at the measurements for the various Grado cans you can verify the sound is basically the same too. I went from the SR60 on up to the RS1 and never liked any. Uncomfortable and antiquated at...- NA Blur

what would be the use of a small (pF range) capacitor parallel to R4?
Did I miss the "in-parallel" capacitor in your diagram? Most of the time a parallel capacity to a resistor changes the phase angle of the current and voltage across that component. This helps the current lead or lag the voltage.- NA Blur

Advice on new headphones - don't like DT770's with new set-up
I suggest first listening to the DT770 on a phone/tablet/PC and determine if the same tracks you listen to via record sound the same with the headphones. It is quite possible that you are hearing more accurately what records sound like. You should also try listening to your headphones through...- NA Blur

AIO unit recommendation for desktop
Try the RME ADI-2 FS. Excellent headphone amp, DAC, and has outputs that may be used for a preamp. The RME website and response to questions is also excellent. Another HUGE advantage of this unit is not only is it tiny, but it comes with an awesome parametric EQ. You can customize many EQ save...- NA Blur

SMSL SU-8s vs. Schiit Modius
No need to "upgrade" the DAC. Most decent DAC's these days that measure well sound so similar that you would be hard pressed to hear any difference. Most of the differences in sound come from the reconstruction filter. I would save your money and keep the Modius. I use mine at work all the time...- NA Blur

LCD-2C Jaw Pain/Ear Pressure Issues
Are you clenching your teeth together during these 6+ hours sessions? Are you a teeth grinder by night? My suspicion is the headphones themselves are NOT the direct cause of the issue, but you may have TMJ issues from stress and clenching your teeth at night. Get a good night guard and see if...- NA Blur

FX Audio DAC-X6 vs O2 ODAC amplifier
You won't hear any major differences so it would be a sidegrade at best. The DAC on the FX is very meh with tons of distortion compared to the O2 ODAC, but unless you hear it going with something else for now is probably not your best option. My suggestion is to first spend money on...- NA Blur
