: Noise cancelling pretty good, touch sensor on right cup, auto stop music on removal of headphones, pretty good sound and good bass
: Battery life only 6hrs had to buy second battery (hard to find), headband could be a tad bigger, noise cancelling could be better
I bought the Parrot Zik 2.0 on Nov 15, 2014 at the Apple store and even they were not on the shelves yet!
Quite enjoyed them, but the headband could definitely be a tad bigger, its a little tight on my average sized head.
Sound is pretty good - not breathtaking, better than my Bose QC2. Much better bass too. Good all round sound I say.
Battery life is atrocious, only 6 hours?? I use this headphone at least 6hrs each day at work - it is quite noisy in an open plan office. I had to buy a second battery and even that is hard to find.
Connection with the bluetooth is great.
The sensor touch control for the volume is pretty good, but for skipping tracks, there is a lot of times if you don't do it properly it will pause the track instead of skipping it. Quite annoying.
Noise cancelling could be a bit better to cancel out more people talking. Quite good on the plane though.
About 6 months in, what I didn't like was the build of the headphone cups, there is a seam that opened up by itself - it seems the glue is not very good. 4 months in with my replacement pair and the same thing is starting to occur again at the same place and for some reason, it seems to be the left ear cup again.
Another annoying thing is if you don't adjust the sound profile on the app and add some bass, it sounds quite crap and flat.
Another really annoying thing is the power button location, the way the headphone fits in the suede-like fabric case is when you need to take it out or put it back - side by side orientation - the opening of the case is a bit tight and the power button gets pressed a lot of the time. So there have been numerous occasions I have put away the headphones in the case but later realised it turned on the headphone by itself and when I come to use it, the battery was very low.
Overall I thought it was rather overpriced but there were very few bluetooth headphones with good noise cancelling out there and I need to have a wireless, noise cancelling headphone. The design - especially - the power button location - was definitely silly. It could do with better engineering testing prior to release.
Confort - need to be MUCH better, not to the most comfortable being too stiff with the foam - the Gold benchmars is still Bose QC series.
Lastly, not EVEN 1 year out, the Parrot Zik 3.0 comes out - what a way to piss off a loyal customer!!
Just sell your Zik 2.0 on eBay and note everything you just said. You were very descriptive, so the bidder will be fine with bidding on them.
