Tritton ax pro true 5.1
Have owned these since 2011, I'm a hardcore gamer since Doom1 not an audiophile but my hearing is ultra sensitive I wouldn't know if I was one anyway. I know what has worked for me better than my stereo sets with sound separation and clarity.

This review is after logging over 2000+ hours on these across multiple platforms and games and systems they are tried and true never failing to catch every cue. From ninjas to numerous approaching targets exo boosting codaw without becoming muddied like I experienced with stereo, tested for hours on end to duplicate but have not.

When I purchased my new ones I did not take to them since my old ones had a different sound with all things being the same "Settings" even connected to the same mixamp. What I did notice was the pads loosened up some a little under the ear allowing some sound to escape which was nice.

Something seems to get lost using stereo and Dolby for me it's worse at times almost like a positional space gap that I need to hear if 3 or 4 targets are approaching rather than hit the 3 and didn't know the 4th was there. Conservation of ammo and positioning due to the lack of anticipating when that 1 cue is muddied with the rest.  You can see consistency in my play on Godjoey.com, every sound is spaced out perfectly giving me the time to acquire all targets efficiently and consistently. These are strictly to game I do not listen to music with these.

Loved my stereo phones and gamed for more than a decade using numerous pairs. When My wife got me these I really did think they were a joke and they were going back 100% "The first pair" identical to these in 2009-10.  But when I heard the sound cues I was sold, maybe it's just the way I'm hearing things but these are perfect for me.

Compared the Stereo and 5.1's using the turtle beach dss amp in Modern Warfare 2 chicken test, Black ops and killzone 3.
Updated 12/3/2014 Tested ASTRO mixamp in Astro mode and Slyr "WOW" simply amazing experience it is much better than the dss turtle beach experience.

I know the debates simulated vs true and open backs vs closed backs, Dolby vs Stereo, Burn in or no burn in. Definitely go with what works for you I'm just sharing what has really helped my play.
I definitely prefer the Stereo for like Slyr's in astro mode, but Dolby on my AD700's using pro mode.  Also prefer My AD700's and Slyr for music LOVE THEM!
I have tried dss with AD700's "Dolby on" and slyrs "Dolby off" what I find difficult to match is the clarity of multiple cues I get with the Trittons directional cue consistency without sounds becoming muddied together.  Please keep in mind I am testing in Advanced Warfare and the exo boosting really plays tricks on stereo and dolby with separating this. If a few boost you lose 1, this doesn't happen with my trittons. Just picked up Astro mixamp definitely notice it's quality and sound "build quality" is better than turtle beach dss but still in need of the  best closed back headphones to see if it meets what I'm used to with tritton 5.1, searching for the Unicorn of Headphones, high treble very low bass closed backs.  Thank you in advanced.

Dude - I'm sorry, but I'm seriously skeptical of your claims here. A product aimed at gamer means you're getting ripped off I'm sorry to say. I've heard a lot of gaming headsets now..... and .. er no. get a a good set of headphones and a mic,
