Creative Aurvana Air

General Information

Winner of the prestigious 2009 Red Dot Award for Product Design, the Aurvana Air is clearly in a class of its own. Crafted with precision, the earphones' very own EaseFitTM ear-hook design offers a secure music listening experience. Its lightweight FlexniumTM ear-hook leverages on Nickel-Titanium alloy (Shape Memory Metal) to offer a flexible and robust design. This is well-complemented by luxurious champagne-gold finishing and polished metal accent to give it an air of timeless sophistication.

Pros: The soundstage is wide, and these earbuds have a very high quality sound, with a fairly clear mid and high range and a sufficient amount of tight bass.
Cons: One drawback is that they cannot be re-cabled.
As with all earbuds, the sound leakage prevention and sound insulation properties are low.
Therefore, they cannot be used in places where there are other people around, such as on trains. Also, they cannot be used in extremely noisy places.
Therefore, I use it indoors or for walking.
When indoors, it can respond to the voices of family members and the bells of visitors, and when walking, it can hear the sound of cars, etc., so there is no danger.

I have removed the earhooks because they are cumbersome to use, but there seems to be a trick to removing them.
The trick is to wrap a wide rubber band around the head of the screw that holds the earhook on the back side of the housing and turn the entire rubber band counterclockwise to unscrew it. Even then, it takes a lot of force to turn the rubber band, either by clamping it between pliers or by biting it with your teeth.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants a pair of super high quality earbuds for indoor use or for walking around.
