I have this issue as well. My sines started making that noise about a week after I got them. So far the driver's sound doesn't seem to be affected by it, but it does leave me worried.

So I have been looking into the HE-6 for sometime now, but never made a purchase because of lack of a suitable amp to drive it. I purchased the Ragnarok not too long ago and I know the amp can power the HE-6, but I wanted to know how it sounds when paired with it. Anyone here use such a pairing...

I feel that Music Alchemist already described neutrality pretty well. I would describe the headphones themselves as being very clear sounding. It doesn't seem to have any emphasis in anything, but it certainly isn't lacking anything either. I haven't paired the Ether with much amps, just two...

Ah geez. After seeing those blackwood pics, I am unsure if I want to stick with the walnut cups. Doesn't help I only have a few days left to decide. A tiny part of me is telling me to get both but I don't think it would be wise to listen to it. =p
