Help me decide!! HipHop/RAP BASS LOVER!!

M50 sound signature is amazing for hip hop and rap and Amazon reviews show 5 star reviews of the M50 are almost twice as frequent as the UE6000. May more fun sounding for these genres than anything I've heard out of HD598, DT880, PX100-II, or Audioengine A5s.

Foobar2000 Dolby Headphone config - Comment & discuss!

I've been using both zip folder preconfigured setups and I think I like the bright one best with my HD 598. I've been listening to the radio paradise stream through foobar and I think listening is more relaxing with the DSPs on. It's nice to turn it off again and get a bit more clarity from the...

    PX100-II Review | Discussion Thread

I've had the PX100-II, ksc75 and M50 for the last year and this is my general listening experience with rock and electronic music on my Sansa Clip and uDAC-2. For just straight up portable listening enjoyment I would say I much prefer the ksc75 both for their reduced mid bass and better sound...

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out

Such is the sad state of affairs with 2V rms line outs for quiet listening.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: NEW Nuforce uDAC-2 with 24/96 - USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out

Right now using my uDAC with powered speakers I really have to keep the volumes down for listening at my desk.

    Audio-GD NFB-12

That does look like it would definitely worth $15 if you like to play around with the sound. I haven't been looking at head-fi in a long time but I just read a review that reminded me how crappy my udac-2 is and this looks like the perfect replacement product for at my computer desk that is...

    Computer speaker around 200$!!

Quote:   (I've been looking at many comparisons of desktop speakers so here is my opinion) Audioengine A2 vs. A5 review   Today I upgraded my Audioengine A2 that I've had for the last week for Audioengine A5 and I'm much happier with these bigger speakers for low volume...

    Crosstalk on Audio Technica M50

I found it really easy to shorten the cable. I like the short cable much better for the way I use the headphones and it’s much lighter than a coiled cable.     Quote:

Basshead dissapointed with Ultrasone HFI 580s. Need help.

I think it may not be possible to get the same "pounding, vibrating bass" that a subwoofer makes with cans. Depending on how you are used to listening to music, sub-bass is really about feeling the vibrations with the rest of you body, not just your ears. One thing you can try is running a 12"...

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats

It is really interesting how the Beats brand has pushed $350 headphones to the "mainstream" for many high school and university students. How many young people spent that much money on even audio gear in general 10 years ago? It would be really interesting if Ultrasone, Shure, Audio Technica...

    Crosstalk on Audio Technica M50

I shortened the cable on my straight M50 to 120cm. I just desoldered it from the PCB, cut it, then soldered it back on. Simplest project ever and now I can use them on the bus etc. It probably reduces the capacitance of the common ground which is a bonus but that wasn't really the goal.

Help pick a new headphone for my picky ears. Have listened to quite a few...

I think amplification needs to be taken into account here. To get good "deep bass" out of higher end cans like DT880 of HD 650 you really need a decent amplifier.

KSC75 and why everyone should own it at least once in their life.

I loOve mine as well, especially with my Sansa Clip. I can't use them on the bus or in busy public places but they are amazing for walking outside when it is quite (at night). Walking with IEM's amplifies internal body noises and pressure changes, the KSC75's don't do that and they make sure I...
