Bravo V2 - Review, Tube Rolling, Mods (coming soon)
Does anyone know more about the Daystrom Nimchimen 12AU7? I did a Google search and only came up with a Toshiba made valve. Is that right? I'm listing with Grado SR80i cans, a TCC phono pre and early 70s pioneer TT. Thanks all!! Sam- yosemitesamiam

Best hi-fi concert earplugs
Going to see Motley Crue this Saturday. I have access to some generic foam plugs in town, or whatever Amazon can get me quick. I've been told they are measuring in around 130dB sustained with periods of louder (peaking at around 138-140). YES, I'm doing this on purpose. That said... -

A New Apex product!!! Name it HERE!!!
First off...this amp looks AWESOME! No doubt it sounds just as awesome! Given your previous names....Pinnacle (a National Park and also describing a peak of a mountain), and Teton (a mountain range inside a National Park...namely Yellowstone), I'm going to have to stick with that...- yosemitesamiam

Shure EC3
OK, so the question is a couple months old...but here goes. I have a set in my drawer. I just took them out to try in my iphone as well as my tower with the beats audio sound card. I used to use them in a sound booth for recording as well as live events. Emphasis on the live sound as they...- yosemitesamiam

Apple EarPods and Bass issues
It amazes me how not-well these things fit my ear. I know they are made for the masses...but has anyone else noticed that every 5 minutes you find yourself pushing them further into your ear canal? I do. And I hate it. The bass starts getting thin...voices get thin...then I realize they are...- yosemitesamiam

Pure i-20 iPod/iPhone Dock as a DAC
Hey there everyone! I just stumbled upon what looks to be a new product. An iPod/iPhone dock that is a DAC built in. Has digital and analogue outs, as well as video. I searched here at Head-Fi, didn't see anything posted, so thought I'd start a new thread. Here is a link to their...- yosemitesamiam

My setup is coming together!
Hmmm, so right now I'm envisioning a PocketDoc device that connects iPod to DAC via USB. Then balanced out to amp. ...rather than RCA or 1/4".- yosemitesamiam

Gotcha! So computer for tunes, into a USB e-mu unit, into the amp, to the cans, to the ears...whew...maybe I DO need a road case!- yosemitesamiam

My setup is coming together!
I would like to be somewhat portable...not airplane portable necessarily as most of my travel and overnight stay I drive to...but would like a system that I can pack up, yes, including the Crack Amp, and take with in the car. That said, that PCI piece is nice, but I travel with a laptop... The...- yosemitesamiam
