I have just been getting into head-fi, and even though I have been into this kinda thing for a lot longer, I bought a pair of HD515's. I would loved to have gotten the HD555's, but the 515's aren't that bad at all. I was surprised that they sound pretty decent.

Hey, I am thinking about buying either the sansa fuze or the creative zen... but im not sure which. I prefer the fuze's ui, but am wondering which has a better sq so please help give me some advice... thanks!

I agree to the above post, I listened to my headphones during the entire burn-in process! Burn-in on headphones does make some significant difference, not just because you are getting used to it but because the drivers need time to "loosen" up bit. Generally you can get more bass and eliminate...

The best option here would be the AudioTechnica ES-7's, or if you want something cheaper try JBL reference 410's. The jbl's are also alot smaller!

If you get a Zune you will be content, however I don't think the Zune I used had a custom EQ.. though I may be wrong! Personally, I'd get one of the new Sony's or for real audiophile quality go for a Cowon, maybe one of the iAudio's!

I tried a pair of K701's and I was totally impressed!! They sound great, and I found them full of detail!

Personally, I would wear any kinda can outside in public as long as it sounded good. I wouldn't go buy a cheap pair of IEM's when i could wear some kinda fullsize. If you care about audio quality at all, then why do you care about your looks??

Thats exactly it, everyone knows about AKG, yet not about harman audio, and JBL! Is jbl only advertised in some countries or something????

Probably not, Sony's generally sound pretty good!

rockbox is great, and so are Cowon players from what I hear. I just got the new Sony however, and I am quite impressed. It sounds awesome!! Sorry, but I can't compare seeing as I have never heard used a Cowon before
