    V-Moda M80's Comfort Questions

I'd say there isn't much of a difference comfort-wise. I found the M-80s uncomfortable for the first few hours of use, but as I used them more, they become extremely comfortable. I don't notice them at all on my head. Same with the M-50s though. I don't think you'd have any comfort issues with...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

I was using the large Hybrid tips, but then I found some JVCs from some old Air Cushions I had lying around, and the difference is pretty surprising. Not that the Hybrids were bad, but I feel like I'm finally experiencing the "monsterous" soundstage for the first time. Honestly, listened to the...

Same here, the Hybrids always seem to cut it for me. I use the large ones, but they're so much better than the supplied tips. I just need to work on getting the IE80s to sit right. Even if the seal's right, I find the angle they're at makes the cable awkward to get around my ear.

    V-Moda M80's Comfort Questions

I'd definitely give an edge to the M-80. The M-50s are good, but I just found them to sound a bit more flat. However, the M-50s definitely had a lot more bass quantity (which is something I value a lot). The M-80s just didn't extend as far. Like I said, I kinda suck at giving the details. Both...

    V-Moda M80's Comfort Questions

Sorry, I don't really have much to say there. I'm more of an IEM guy, so I don't have any of the other headphone's you've listed. The only two headphones I've ever had were the M-80s and some M-50s, and I like them both.

    V-Moda M80's Comfort Questions

I can throw in my two cents for V-Moda M-80s. Pretty top-notch build quality, and portability is decent too. I can't tell you many specifics about sound quality (because I suck at it), but I can tell you they sound fine.

That's awesome. I'll have to give the JVC tips a try if I can't make my sure-fire Hybrids work (the Hybrids were my saviour for my old MTPGs). Also, do you know if burn-in does anything for these? I mean, I'm totally satisfied right now... I honestly feel like I got the best deal in the world...

    Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread

Just picked these up for $250 today on my way home from school. I went into the store just to look, but when I saw that they were this cheap, I wanted to give em a rip. Didn't even realize the list price on these until I got back home, and not to mention I live in Canada too... Pretty decent...

Thunderpants! A world-class closed planar magnetic headphone by Head-Fi'er "Smeggy" - Head-Fi TV, Episode 012

Quote: Well, I'm pretty much looking to upgrade from Monster Turbine Pro Golds. If you've listened to them, then you'd know the bass is pretty siiick. It's tough to find high-end headphones that have that awesome rattling bass.

Thunderpants! A world-class closed planar magnetic headphone by Head-Fi'er "Smeggy" - Head-Fi TV, Episode 012

Quote: Let's say that I'm a bass-head, and want high-end audio... Would you recommend these "Darth Beyers"? After a quick search (and I mean REALLY quick), they seem like they're pretty awesome.

Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...

I was gonna post it.   Then I realized it would just be some MTPGs and an iPod. I think you can visualize how sad it looks.

Thunderpants! A world-class closed planar magnetic headphone by Head-Fi'er "Smeggy" - Head-Fi TV, Episode 012

Wow... I'm interested.   Unfortunately, I'm a bit of a basshead, so I don't know if the sound signature would be satisfying. The balance of mids and highs sounds like it would be great, but I want something that has a really full low-end, that hits pretty hard.   Any idea if there's a...
