Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Update: as soon as I turned it off to have lunch, and then on again when I returned, now the headset won't even pair with the dongle. In the pairing process, I hear "pairing" in the headset but it can now never seem to connect to the blinking dongle.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Update: I managed to restore it again by unplugging the USB dongle entirely for a few minutes, toggling the switch to XBOX and then back to PC, and then plugging it back in. Hopefully it "sticks"!

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I will look that up, thanks. I assume it's something more than just the few-seconds-long process of re-pairing the device via the software? The "connected" icon is there on the right side and the headset plays audio successfully, so it must be paired. If on the "Settings" menu option, the...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I actually also uninstalled/reinstalled the software earlier today in case that helped, but I'm having the same issue. Version is 3.1.81

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

Hi guys, I recently purchased this headset and updated the firmware. My headset is connecting OK and I can hear from it and use the microphone without issue. However, I am unable to access the mix amp and I am unable to see the auto shutdown option in the app. The first day I had it, these...

    Calgary, Alberta meeting. 26th september

I'm not a student, so I'm not sure what options I have for booking a room at the U of C.  The U of C is pretty easy for me to get to, though, so I'm happy with that as a venue.   All I have are my Sennheiser HD800's, since I am currently using them in a hand-me-down home theater receiver (I...

    Calgary, Alberta meeting. 26th september

U of C is fine with me, I'm not too far from there.   I only have a pair of HD800's though (currently plugged into a home theater amp), so I won't be able to contribute much, but I'd be happy to go if it's in the 2nd half of September.   If August is better for others, feel free to plan...

    Calgary, Alberta meeting. 26th september

I'd love to have a meeting; however, for me it would have to wait until September, since I will be out of town every Sunday in August except the 8th, and I currently have a bruised eardrum from water sports and so I would not enjoy myself if it were this weekend.   I will be back from...

30th May 2010 Calgary, Alberta Meeting ( come and talk)

I'd be interested in attending a meet this summer or fall.  I live in Calgary, so Calgary or Edmonton would work for me.

How much improvement would I see with a dedicated headphone amp? (HD800)

Interesting, maybe splitting the stock cable could be a first step if it's easy enough for me to do or if someone around here can do it inexpensively.  I think I will definitely demo some different cables first before buying to make sure I truly prefer the sound, as my own research indicates...

How much improvement would I see with a dedicated headphone amp? (HD800)

Thanks for all the advice, guys.  Please keep it coming if you wish to add anything.   Is it possible to "split" my HD800 cable into for use in a balanced setup, or is it better/easier/cheaper to simply discard it and get new balanced cables?   Shahrose - I might be in Ottawa this...

How much improvement would I see with a dedicated headphone amp? (HD800)

Well I have finally listened to my HD800s a bit after picking them up on Friday, and I am more than impressed with their sound, even through my Denon receiver and its built-in DAC.  That said, I look forward to the possibility of even better sound with a nicer DAC and a real headphone amp in the...

How much improvement would I see with a dedicated headphone amp? (HD800)

Thanks for the feedback, guys.   A few things I'll mention that I didn't mention before:   I do have hi-fi experience, mostly through my dad, from whom I inherited my AVR-3300 from.  Most of my hi-fi experience is with loudspeakers, though, and after listening to some nicer headphones...

How much improvement would I see with a dedicated headphone amp? (HD800)

I understand they are among the world's best headphones and I actually partly intended to get them first, so I could bring them around to demo amps.  I have heard that tube amps are especially nice with the HD800's.  I suppose I expected the amp to make quite a big difference, I was just hoping...
