Imho, I don't find the SE215 dark although the highs do roll-off a little early.

I heard that the Shure SE215 special edition has slightly lesser bass and is brighter than the original one right?

A year ago I bought a pair of fake Beats Tour. Upon hearing them, I realised I wasted like 40 bucks. The highs were so piercing, no low end response and mid seems completely missing. What I was hearing seems like static.

Looks cool, but they are going to be competing with Triple to Quad Driver CIEM for that price range. Take Unique Melody Aero or Mage as an example.

Will this perform well on EDM? I like bass that are quick and accurate, have some impact to do justice to the song yet does not bleed into the other frequency. Might like half the amount of bass that the Shures Se215 have.

This review should not be taken literally but rather, as an opinion. Everyone perceives music differently, and it also depends on what type of sound signature do they prefer. Some might prefer neutrality, some prefer the traditional “V”-shaped sound, it all boils down to personal preferences...
