Rockbox Xduoo X3
The x3 just is hot. Whatever. Does not want to charge anymore, also not with new battery. End of story. Back to my fiio X5 "original".- TonyVier

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Well, found a battery at the local mobile phone repair guy, its only 1000mah, but hee. (if it works, I think I can fit two in parallel). Returning it and so, well, it's complicated.- TonyVier

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Ok. Suddenly, at least in my perception, the system info appeared, no need to reset the x3. I opened up the x3, let it rest a while without battery, and started it again. The battery remains cool, the main board gets egg frying hot without charging, just playing a song.- TonyVier

Rockbox Xduoo X3
That what I guessed. However, why does the x3 crash when I want to look at "system information" on the original firmware? Can't explain this by a faulty battery.... The system information page worked fine before the rockbox flash....- TonyVier

Rockbox Xduoo X3
After a few happy days, disaster.... Noticed that playing through Rockbox reduced battery life to about 45 minutes, and made the X3 very hot. Very Hot. Charging, from whatever firmware, made the X3 also very hot, and it never seemed to get full. Ai. (used it for a short while...- TonyVier

XDuoo X3 DSD 24Bit / 192KHz CS4398 Chip Lossless Music Player
Ok, bought the x3, paid 88usd. First impression on Unique Melody Miracle, sounds better than my (original) fiio x5. Still on original fw 1.1. Until now, don't see (hear) need to rockbox. Played by folder on x5.- TonyVier

Ok, got my UM Miracles today. They sound fine, but not 5 times better than my TDK BA200. They fit great. And I did a lot of a/b-ing with the X5 and E12DIY (with Muses01 and LME49600) The X5 (+ Miracles) doesn't need the E12DIY. At all.- TonyVier

Same here. Clicks seem to have become louder in the X5 after using it a while. Makes me a bit afraid the relays will fail after some time. Unless this is a normal kind of behavior. James? Click sound levels seem stable now, and X5 behaves as it should.- TonyVier

So you can listen to the background noise of the big bang. Or was that 128 bits?- TonyVier
