Help with the polarity of the UE pro IEMs needed VERY VERY BADLY

I know this is a really old thread, but i wanted to confirm @Andreeww findings. On my UERR cable the top pins are negative and wired to the 3.5mm stereo jack sleeve. Additionally, the left positive is wired to the tip, and the right positive to the ring. Unfortunately i know this because in...

Ultimate Ears UE Pro Reference Remastered! (UERR)

I haven't tried many, but I've been loving the ES-100 Ear Studio as a Bluetooth/USB DAC/AMP since i replaced my old e-17. It supports high bitrate codecs on Android and has a nice dsp eq with user presets if you want to tweak.

Ultimate Ears UE Pro Reference Remastered! (UERR)

I faced the same dilemma a few months ago and opted to stick with the 2 pin connector due to cable pricing. I didn't do any objective quality comparisons or anything, but it does seem like the marketing for the IPX suggests it's more robust and sweat resistant long term. I don't...

Ultimate Ears UE Pro Reference Remastered! (UERR)

I've been enjoying my new UERR now for a few weeks, and i'm really loving them. As my first customs, I don't have much to compare to, but i'm amazed at how the difference in comfort reduces my fatigue versus my universals like ER4. I'm very happy with the fit/seal. The sound quality seems superb...

    MiniDSP HA-DSP Discussion and Impressions

yeah, sorry, it looks like I got the wrong idea about the switch from the manual where it was talking about USB hubs possibly being slower to charge. interesting and weird they don't actually define the purpose of the switch!

    MiniDSP HA-DSP Discussion and Impressions

I think you're right about knowledge of how to configure DSP being a deterrent to some users for this type of device. The pc config software UI looks similar to my C-DSP. You can see a few pictures of it in the manual PDF on page 23, 30. https://www.minidsp.com/images/documents/HA-DSP User...

    MiniDSP HA-DSP Discussion and Impressions

I just learned about the HA-DSP today in a newsletter from MiniDSP. I have their C-DSP 6x8 in my car and it's a great unit, i'm curious to read more reviews on the HA-DSP, thanks for sharing! https://www.minidsp.com/products/dsp-headphone-amp/ha-dsp

    Remax RM-S1 IEM

Wow, awesome! I don't know if I'm ready to dismantle my ER4PTs, but that's very inspiring rehousing you did there!

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

That'd be no good! I don't think there's much danger of that for me, the barrel part only sticks about halfway into my ear as deep as I can insert it! (See my photo above)

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Thanks for sharing the pictures, the cables look very nice, and like they work nicely over the ear. That would take care of one of my concens. It looks like they still protrude out of the ear pretty far, so it wouldn't help my laying on my side in bed comfort. I've been using my cheap Mee m6...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Thanks for the tips (pun intended!) I'll have to check out the Forza Hydra cable. I did think previously about trying to make a "chin cinch" from heat shrink or rubber or something to keep the cable behind my head from flopping around. If course, I didn't know what to call it when googling it...
